Licensure and Training

I am licensed to work with couples in British Columbia (11349) and Ontario (841217).

I hold a Master of Social Work degree (Clinical Specialization, 2010) from the University of Calgary, and completed all requirements including the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Board Exam for Clinical Licensure in 2016. I work with couples in person and online in Vancouver, and online throughout British Columbia and Ontario. I maintain professional membership with the British Columbia College of Social Workers (BCCSW), the British Columbia Association of Social Workers (BCASW), and the Ontario College of Social Workers (OCSWSSW). I also maintain Associate Membership with the Canadian Association of Nurses in HIV/AIDS Care (CANAC).

Scope of practice

The Registered Clinical Social Worker (RCSW) designation recognizes advanced practice skills in mental health and clinical social work, typically counselling and psychotherapy, human development, and mental health disorders. RCSW’s may undertake clinical social work which means the application of:

(a) clinical mental health knowledge and theories; and

(b) the independent use of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders published by the American Psychiatric Association, in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental, emotional and behavioural disorders and conditions, for the sole purpose of providing advanced intervention to enhance personal, interpersonal and social functioning.
